Buy a half bushel of apples for people in need in Dunn County! The USDA has rescinded funding that was allocated to buy food from local farmers to be distributed to hunger relief organizations like food pantries. (Read more here.) This is an enormous hit to organizations that do the hard work of feeding our communities, like Stepping Stones of Dunn County. It’s also a hit to farms ours, who had planned on the income from that program this year. We are working closely with the pantry manager to try to keep fresh produce in stock this fall. You can purchase a half bushel of our organic apples for $25, which we would typically sell for $38, to be delivered to Stepping Stones during the season.
